Hi,

I'm currently trying to add some joined fields to a bean for ease of use.
I've accomplished this by adding getters and setters to my bean, and adding
an .innerJoin call to my restore query. This part works great. (The code
in question adds US state names and abbreviations to city objects, even
though there's just a state ID in the city table.)

The problem that I run into is that when I try to persist and updated bean,
it complains that the fields that I've pulled off of another table (which I
don't want to update anyway) aren't present in the table that I'm updating.
In other words, the update query is trying to update the stateName in the
cities table, which doesn't exist.

What's the best way to deal with this? Can I limit the fields used on an
add or update call? Should I be populating my bean differently?

Thanks,
Dan
