[Ring] A bug with visibility?

Just noticed: I am on GNOME and a friend is using the iOS version from 
https://ring.cx/en/download
After speaking offline for a while she was telling me, that she's online on 
Ring as well. But i didn't see any green marker on my conversation list. I 
closed my window and restarted Ring. And now she had that little green online 
dot. Any idea?
