Hi Martin, 

If you can install software on a Ubuntu-powered USB key with persistent file 
storage, you can certainly install Ring on it. My non-technical understanding 
is that the Ring ID created on first startup on the USB key will remain the 
same since it will be retained by your persistent user profile. If I am wrong, 
engineering team, please correct me. 

If you try it, Matin, please let us know how it works on various machines and 
how it performs compared to a traditional desktop installation. If you can 
share also your general use case -- not specific details, but typical ones -- 
that would be nice too.
