Gary, the audio input and output are provided and controlled by your Pulse
or Alta server. So click on the audio icon on your panel control bar and
make sure the right speaker/micro devices are selected.

Audio worked on every platform and version of Ring I have tested. There's
absolutely no other reason it wouldn't on your machines.
