Ring is based on SFLphone which supported IAX. So the IAX code is still in 
there somewhere, but it hasn't been maintained with all the updates, so it has 
been dissabled. Unfortunately its not the priority at the moment, but I don't 
think there is any reason it couldn't be supported in the future.

First of all, Ring is the most user friendly app I have seen so far, great 
work! 

Do you support IAX protocol? 

I am configuring VoIP server app for syncloud.org open source project and would 
like to use Ring as a client. 
I have a working SIP based setup but I am having some issues with one-way 
audio. User device which is hosting Asterisk is usually behind home NAT, so I 
would like to test if IAX is simpler to handle.
