Hi all, This we are in the process of merging patches in the Ring daemon and LRC to remove support for IAX and the dependency on libiax.
The reason is that 1. libiax is GPLv2 (not GPLv2+) which makes it not compatible with GPLv3 2. the actual IAX protocol functionality has been broken in the daemon for a long time, and the option to use an IAX account in the clients has been dissabled Thus there is no reason to keep this dead code and unnecessary dependency around.
