Hello, I have been refactoring the Debian packaging process for Ring. All of the packaging scripts are now in the ring-project repository and they are executed by Jenkins jobs.
One of the differences is that ring-gnome is now a dummy package, which will automatically install 'ring', which now contains the client. The update should be transparent. If you want to test the new packages, you may do it during the weekend. I have uploaded the packages to a testing location so that people may test the packages before we override our current repositories with them. Repositories: http://dl.ring.cx/test-repositories/ Manual install: http://dl.ring.cx/test-downloads/ Note that if you are a Debian9 user, Ring is now in your distribution's repositories. You might want to use apt pinning to prefer our repos. The new repositories should be installed early next week. Cheers, -- Alexandre Viau alexandre.v...@savoirfairelinux.com
