RIPE 73 kicked off in Madrid yesterday. At the end of the day there were
491 attendees checked in and 663 registered.
Highlights included:
- An analysis of IPv6 deployment survey results, carrier-grade NAT
(using BitTorrent data) and gender metrics at RIPE Meetings
- A look at the accountability of the RIPE community
- A presentation from a RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI)
attendee on the evolving IPv4 transfer market
- A request from Geoff Huston to consider deploying elliptic curve
cryptograph to improve security on Internet transactions
