Dear RIPE members The Vietsch Foundation was created during 2014 in memory of Karel Vietsch, former Secretary General of the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association. (TERENA). Each year the Vietsch Foundation will award a Medal of Honour to individuals who have contributed to the development of a service, technology or approach that will be of enduring value to the community. Since RARE and subsequently TERENA has had a close relationship with RIPE and some of you may remember Karel, I am writing on behalf of the Vietsch Foundation board of Trustees to invite you to consider nominating a recipient for the 2017 Vietsch Foundation Medal.
