Dear colleagues,
The first day of RIPE 82 kicked off with 1,093 attendees registered for
the meeting.
Here are the highlights:
- The meeting was opened by Mirjam Kuhne, the RIPE Chair, who welcomed
attendees for our third fully virtual RIPE Meeting.
- Presentations throughout the plenary sessions were well attended with
over 637 participating on Meetecho and more joining in via the RIPE 82
livestream and YouTube.
- We wrapped up the first day with informal sessions to meet the new
RIPE Chair Team, Mirjam Kuhne and Niall O'Reilly, and the RIPE NCC
Executive Board.

PC Elections

Call for nominations is still open until 15:30 (UTC+2) today. You can
nominate yourself or someone else by sending an email with a biography,
statement of interest and photographs, to pc [at] ripe [dot] net.
There are currently two seats up for election to the RIPE Programme
Committee. The RIPE PC online voting system will open today at 16:00
(UTC+2) and close on Thursday, 20th May, 17:00 (UTC+2).
The results will be announced during the closing plenary on Friday.
