Dear colleagues, The first day of RIPE 85 kicked off with over 390 attendees registered onsite for the meeting.
Here are the highlights: - The meeting was opened by Mirjam Kühne, the RIPE Chair, who welcomed attendees for our second hybrid RIPE Meeting. - Presentations throughout the plenary sessions were well-attended, with 324 unique participants in the main room on Meetecho and 132 unique participants in the side room, and more joining in via the RIPE 85 livestream and YouTube. - We wrapped up the first day with a welcome reception to meet the RIPE Chair Team, Mirjam Kühne and Niall O'Reilly, and the RIPE NCC Executive Board. You can nominate yourself or someone else by sending an email with a biography and photograph to pc [at] ripe [dot] net. There are currently two seats up for election to the RIPE Programme Committee. The RIPE PC online voting system will open today at 16:00 (UTC+2) and close on Thursday, 27 October at 17:00 (UTC+2).
