At the microphone at ARIN 55 I was told there was a good degree of participation from the AFRINIC community when I voiced the same concerns about the propriety of developing this document while AFRINIC is inquorate.
I do understand the situation, but I still think this manner of doing things doesn’t pass the smell test, and weakens any legal defense should any issues be raised later. Better to wait a few months to proceed further, IMO, because I haven’t seen any data regarding participation from the AFRINIC community in the development of this document. Perhaps that will be forthcoming, per my request and Noah’s?
