What is the Artistsort tag for? I have thousands of tracks with this issue, since I include remixers in the artist tags. I use Slimserver's feature that lets you separate more that one item in a flac tag with a character of your choice. (Server settings, behavior, Multiple Items In Tags = ;)
For example: For the track 'One Step Too Far' by Faithless, with Dido singing, and remixed by Alex Neri, I set the artist tag to "Faithless; Dido; Neri, Alex". They all show up as individual artist in Slimserver. This allows me to get a listing of all the songs, remixes, DJ mixes, and collaborations by an individual artist. Pretty slick i think. I haven't yet figured out how well this integrates with the new features for compilations. I've noticed that now albums are listed with all the collaborating artists, which is a bit sloppy to me. For example, the Obsidian ep by Banco De Gaia displays thus when browsing albums: Obsidian Remixes by Fluke, Light Vs.
