How should other > software I use the files with interpret these correctly? Using multiple same-named tags is the way it's spec'd with vorbis comments/tags, but SlimServer can use either tagging convention for multiple ARTISTs and GENREs in Flac files. Most other software will probably treat these strings as single artists, so I would agree that it may be a bad idea if you plan on using your library with other software. I use multiple tags in my Flac files instead.
One thing I just noticed in your original post is that the artist string was "Sonny Rollins And Thelonius Monk". You would need to have the word 'and' designated as a seperator in addition to the comma. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21409 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
