I realize I'm probably in the minority, but I don't want any cruddy songs in my library. I want to be able to cue up a large playlist and not have to run for the remote every few minutes to skip past a bad song. There are just some tracks I never want to hear again. Life's too short to listen to bad music.
We all know that some albums only have 1 or 2 good songs. That's fine. One reason I consider my digital collection more valuable than my LP/CD collection is that it's all good stuff - no filler. There's a lot of time and effort that's gone into deciding what to keep and what to leave out. One other benefit is that by keeping partial albums, I'm able to fit 6-8 albums per GB instead of just 3. Makes a big difference in the long run storage-wise. Even going through my FLACs to more accurately tag them (I'm trying to research the actual release date of each song, so when I browse by year it's actually meaningful), I find myself culling maybe 5% of the tracks - do I really need 3 live versions of that song? No! So, am I nuts?
