Hi There, I am an avid Mac user and have found what I think is a great flac encoder and tagger for the Mac OS. Its called Max and if you go to http://sbooth.org/Max/ you can download this free software. The guy has also just recently posted a flac tag editor called, what else, Tag. That can be found at the Max website at the right side of the site under links. I have been using Max and really like it. Much much more convenient than xAct. Hope this helps out. One requisite that is stated is that you must be running OS 10.4 Tiger.
