The non-beta (0.8.3) version of Foobar2000 has some tagging problems as noted by previous posters.
If you are using Foobar for replaygaining or other tagging, I'd highly recommend getting the newest beta version (actually a release candidate now). Both replay gain and tagging have been under -heavy- development since the last stable version.
