Well, Cibo Mato will not > figure in the artist listing under "C", they will only figure under > various artist. This isn't odd if you have "Group compilation albums together" selected. "List compilation albums under each artist" will list the album under each artist even if you don't have any anything else by them. The "Group compilation albums together" setting was designed to prevent the artist list from being blown up by artists who only appear on compilation albums.
