YES.  Investigate http://www.musicbrainz.org.  They maintain a music
metadata database that is user-powered, and Bootleg is a release type. 
To actually tag the files (and optionally rename them), you can use the
Picard tagger that they make (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/PicardTagger)
or the MusicIP Mixer(http://www.musicip.com/mixer/index.jsp), which
recently added MusicBrainz integration.  Both are multi-platform.

The best thing: if the information ISN'T in MusicBrainz, you can
contribute to the database by adding the data yourself.  Then the next
person with those FLACS won't have to enter the stuff.  It is awesome. 
I don't have loads of audience recordings, but for instance the Phish
stuff that I have was all in there and is now appropriately tagged and
available through SlimServer.
