The question is really "does your ripping software support all tags?"

flac and lame should support most/all valid tags.

You might also like to look at:

http://robinbowes.com/projects/flac2mp3

That will convert all your flac files to mp3, preserving (most of) the tags.

I've just release v0.2.8 which unfortunately, doesn't work on Windows so
 stick to v0.2.7 until I get it fixed.
