If you mean that the transcoding is always from FLAC on your workstation/NAS/whatever to WAV on your iPod, I don't think that's true. To quote from the RedChairSoftware site: "AudioMorph: Freedom of Format! AudioMorph can dynamically alter audio bitrates and formats during transfers to your iPod. Keep your master audio files on your PC in high bitrates or uncompressed formats, and let AudioMorph transcode them on the fly when you go mobile. This means you can fit more music onto your iPod while leaving your originals intact. With compatible third party plugins, you can use the AudioMorph framework to transcode almost any music format with a full range of bitrates, modes, and options. Morpherotic!" The plugins support FLAC, MP3, WMA, and several other target formats. -- Balthazar_B ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Balthazar_B's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7366 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30953 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
