I had the same problem as mortod. I have set in ss 'List Compilation Albums under each artist' and 'List albums by band'. I have then added (using mp3Tag) an ALBUMARTIST field to all the tags. This is the same as ARTIST for single artist albums, but is "Various" for any compilations. Compilation = 1 for all compilations. I discovered that you must set the SS handling for compilations first, then do a full database clear and rescan. This enables me to view ALL artists when searching or browsing by artist, I think this is what you want??
