I've been using flac2mp3 quite happily, but I've now found that one or two albums are always considered to have changed, so it produces 'Processing' messages for each track in those albums and re-writes the tags to the mp3 file.
I just created a couple of temporary folders, and placed one flac file from an album by Neil Young in there, and one track by Little Feat in there (the Neil Young is always handled correctly, while the Little Feat album is always re-processed). Running flac2mp3 the first time it correctly created an mp3 version of both tracks in the output folder. Running it subsequent times it ignores the Neil Young track, but says Processing "As Time Goes By - The Best Of Little Feat/01. Dixie Chicken.flac" every time I run it. With the --debug option I've attached a log showing that for the Little Feat track it seems to detect tag differences, while for the Neil Young track it doesn't. I can't actually see what's different though... Since I'm not sure whether this is a problem with flac2mp3 or something funny about the tags I'm posting it here so that someone can tell me what's happening ... +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: testlog.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2394| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- karma mechanic ------------------------------------------------------------------------ karma mechanic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8868 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32636 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
