I presume you have a new or modded NSLU2 which runs at 266MHz.

Some decoders (e.g. RealAudio and WMA) use floating point which some
ARM processors do not support natively and so cannot decode those
streams fast enough to play or leave enough CPU for slimserver.  

However a number of decoders have fixed point versions which will work
on ARM.  I looked at the mpc library code and it has a fixed point
option - so if you build it, it will probably work.
