Again, _where_ do you "see" it? If you browse by Music Folder, this is exactly the way SlimServer will display the track - it uses the filename. If you browse by Artist/Album/Genre or any other way, the plain track title should be displayed. > So yes, I suspect that it is in the title tag, but I don't know how and > am too newbie to figure it out. The important bit for tagging is under EAC > Compression Options > External Compression > Additional comand line options. Show us exactly what you've entered in that box (use copy and paste - don't try retyping it here). > I just recently got a number in front of the track title, but it is part > of the track title - I got there with this in the EAC, Filename, Naming > Scheme: %A\%C\ %N %T That looks pretty good. Is there an extras space in there before the %N? (Actually, Windows won't let you create a filename with a leading space, so it's probably not critical.) > This gives me an artist name, followed by a CD Title and then track > number and title. True, but not all in the filename. The first two will create folders if they don't already exists. The filename will just consist of the tracknumber and title. Looks like you've figured it out. > These two things still don't seem right and I have about 20 CD's ripped. Don't rip any more CDs until you figure this out. For testing, find a CD with several short tracks, select three tracks (for testing, pretend that it's an entire album) and re-rip the thing as many times as it takes to get the tagging and filenaming correct. You'll save yourself a lot of work later. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35817 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
