Erland: I had expected exactly the behavior you describe to crop up. But yesterday, when I added 4 new albums to my library and did a "scan for new..", they all came in with the fixed genre names. I'm not sure why that should be unless I was hallucinating.
I don't use iTunes or musicIP with my library and 99% of my library consists of whole-cd flac files with embedded cues. Re the ALTER TABLE in the query: I don't know if it is necessary. I'll try taking them out and see what happens. I've have gotten into the habit of changing the blob fields to text when I'm poking around in the data using odbc and MS Access. I originally thought I would do this post-processing with Access queries, but Access doesn't support CASE in queries and this solution is much easier anyway. -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35876 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
