Thanks for the info folks. I tried moving a load of AAC files (non-DRM purchases from iTunes) into the same folder as some mp3s and making all the tags the same, and it does indeed pick them up as the same album now. Job done! I knew about compilations needing to be in same dir, but didn't realise it extended to diff formats. Thanks again for the help.
