A lot of people feel many new remasters are ruined by the "loudness wars" - the high levels used on many modern CDs that destroy the dynamic range. So, the original CD may actually be valued higher among collectors than the newer remaster. I usually check the Steve Hoffman forums to see if there's a general consensus about any new remasters. This site is also a good one for buying and selling of collectible CDs: http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/ -- Pale Blue Ego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=110 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36523 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
