There are two solutions: SOLUTION 1: If your tagging software supports it, you can add several GENRE tags to the same song, for example: GENRE=Denmark GENRE=Rock GENRE=Concert
SOLUTION 2: Enter several tag values in a single genre field, for example: GENRE=Denmark;Rock;Concert To make this solution work with SlimServer you will have to goto "Server Settings/Behaviour" in the web interface and enter the separation character you used in the "MULTIPLE ITEMS IN TAGS" field. At last you will have to perform a rescan in SlimServer for the changes to be detected. In the standard SlimServer browse menus the genres will be displayed in a flat structure, where the song you tagged is available under all the genres you tagged it with. If you like to be able to browse the genres in a tree hierarchy you currently need the Custom Browse plugin, with it you can create a "Genres/Sub Genres" menu. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library and RandomPlayList plugins' (http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=36691 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
