I want to convert my FLAC encoded audiobooks to MP3 for use in my ipod.
I have tried adding the -m mono flag to LAME (after converting my FLAC to WAV) but the file size is the same as it was in stereo at 128KB. I read somewhere that changing the bit rate to 64KB and using Mono will be the same quality (in terms of compression) as 128KB stereo.
