In fact in some quick tests on a couple of broken FLACs on my system
with dBPowerAmp 12, the FLAC-FLAC conversion actually stopped at the
error point. Meaning that the outputted file was truncated... not
exactly lossless!

The best solution is obviously to re-rip. Or find another source for
that particular file.

p.s. I found mp3val (http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/) quite useful for
testing the odd MP3 file I have kicking around
