For what it's worth... I loaded the latest 7.0a nightly on my laptop last night. The behavior is the same. Once SS has scanned an Album Volume Adjustment value into the database, a rescan looking for "changed or new music" will not overwrite that value. Even if you strip out the ReplayGain metadata, it will remain in the Slim database.
