Good to hear its working. The most likely explanation is that when you used the command line scanner you inadvertently asked for a scan of new or changed files: and mp3tag has an option (not sure if its the default) NOT to update the last modified tim when you edit tags, which would mean that SS would think the files hadn't changed and not scanned them.
