hi ben! i am starting to see similar things (described in sequence of events):
1. my GF recently copied her itunes lib from her ibook to my windows Slimserver 6.5.3. 2. rescan for new and changed -> 1 album and 5 tracks in library! :-( 3. noticed the itunes DB had been copied as well in to Slimserver's music repository. deleted it. rescanned -> 900 artists + 6500 tracks. oof! fixed. :-) or so it seemed... 4. now it seems some albums show up 5x, 6x, up to 10x! :-( however, ALL of them are compilations of some sort. 5. discovered that iTunes arranged the tracks like this: \artist\album\track.mp3 re-organizing in to a "flat" directory hierarchy solves the problem -> albums so reorganized only show once. but that is not an option for us because it is too much work and the filenames are not complete.
