This is a wise policy, a malfunctioning tag > editor run amok can destroy your music collection. In some ways I kind of wonder why we don't have SqueezeCenter modify tags. Oh not the tags in the music files but directly into the database. Since all the tags in the music files do for SC is act as a backup for when the database is rebuilt. All its searching etc is done in the database and SC frequently modifies that anyway.
If instead you just created a unique ID tag in a music file then you could have a comprehensive database with the same or improved capabilities over tags in files. Sometimes reinventing the wheel is a good idea :) we now have pneumatic tyres, run flat tyres... -- Zaragon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Zaragon's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14577 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42553 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
