Hi, Well, yes, SS and Foobar have somewhat different approaches to .cue sheets parsing. There used to be quite a heated discussion about this a couple of years ago with people suggesting SS should be able to parse very non-standard .cue sheets thus gaining additional functionality. However, this camp lost lost out in the end since those-in-charge of SS didn't want to get involved into turning .cue sheet into something else (it was really not designed for). So, most everybody is tagging their files now, with SS being frozen in the interpretation of .cue sheets (no incentive there for development). It's unfortunate for me as my primary goal when I started ripping my CD collection was CD "backup" instead of computerized musical content storage. So I ripped to .ape/external .cue. Now I am regretting this as with the SB my listening habits have changed dramatically. Sure, I can always start the oh-so-boring task of converting my single file+cue system to one file-one track system, keeping the .cue sheet EAC is producing in the process for backup purposes, and then tag the files properly. But then, with the web interface and computer terminal in my listening room, I have found I don't need all these database capacities SS is offering all that much. I know where everything is, and it's very rare I want to listen to some random piece Karajan has conducted... So, it's up to how you organize your music collection. But if you want the database capacity, doing it with .cue sheets is going to be pain for sure. As for re-scanning your collection, it won't do any harm of course. You may want to introduce some smaller directory somewhere with just 5 - 6 rips where you can experiment and re-scan it after every modification to see the result. Good luck, JJanis
