I think it should work out the same. I have _one_ album like this in my library. A compilation produced by David Byrne called "Brazil Classics 2: O Samba" that I want to see under David Byrne. I mark it as a COMPILATION and set the ALBUMARTIST to Daivd Byrne. It seems to get sorted out just like I want, but I wonder if it isn't more luck than anything. :) > And these albums are mp3, not flac (if it's a difference between the > solutions) Theoretically, it shouldn't make any difference, but in practice it's a matter of finding the right id3v tags (frames). Flac is more or less the base standard in SlimServer, mostly because of the flexible and relatively straightforward tagging system. Sometimes getting the much more rigid Mp3/id3 tags to conform can be a chore. Downlaod Mp3tag ( http://mp3tag.de/en ). Then tag these files by adding a BAND tag of 'Adam Freeland' and a COMPILATION tag of 0. Use the View > Extended Tags dialog (or the paper with pencil icon). Then run a clear/rescan and see if it comes up something like you envision. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43380 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
