I'm "modernizing" my library, bringing it in line with LAME gapless and Replaygain -- vs. mptrim and mp3gain.
My question is pretty simple; I hope the answer is, too. If I have Replaygain tags for use with my Squeezebox but I need Apple's Soundcheck for my iPod, will the Squeezebox read the Soundcheck values instead of the Replaygain numbers whether I like it or not? (I realize there are programs -- iVolume, for example -- that will sync up the two values, but I'm trying to keep things simple.) And, if the Soundcheck values are automatically dominant, does it really matter? (I'm encoding album values for Replaygain just to have them, but I don't care about that issue much. Track values are fine, so that Soundcheck "deficiency" isn't important to me -- only the relative accuracy of the RMS balancing is my big issue.) Thanks for any insight and advice. -- csiron ------------------------------------------------------------------------ csiron's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11597 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43477 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
