Well what I was trying to do is what's in 'this thread' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42823&highlight=ARTISTSORT) - but now that I'm re-re-reading it, it looks as though I need to set both ARTIST and ARTISTSORT.
For a different example (and, for me, more useful than just splitting up Mays and Metheny), I've got some CDs by Donald Fagen, some by him and Walter Becker.
