I can't decipher from the forums whether the squeezebox will play flac at 24bit / 48Khz - and what I need to do to get this to work.
I've transcoded high res flac to the above as FLAC and my DAC is showing them playing at 44Khz. When I plug the digital out from a DVD player its 48Khz (my DAC is elderly - but it does seem to work ok). So the DAC definitely is detecting the correct sampling frequency. So what am I doing wrong ? I want to see the 48Khz LED on the DAC. I also tried 48Khz/24bit Wav (Microsoft signed 24bit PCM) (I'm using audacity to manipulate files from linnrecords) Thanks and 'scuse me if someone has patiently explained this before.
