I'm in the process of using itunes to copy all cd's to apple lossless. I am not trying to bypass any drm. I own all these CD's.
This is easy: insert, remove, repeat. I want to use softsqueeze to play these remotely via SC. (another player would be fine... so far streaming them to winamp doesn't work either. I get progress but no sound.) Changing the file types for alac to mp3 indicates "missing binary" and checking "plugins" offers no solace. I see the player "throttle" options, but what do I have to do to get SC to convert these on the fly while sending them to a player? I am running SC on xp pro at this point but would be happy to move it to *nix for this ability.
