Making a taggig plugin can be a bit risky because it means that SqueezeCenter will need to have write permission to the music files and any bug in your code might in the worst case destroy peoples music files. Since the file format can vary it can also get a bit complicated to know if you should tag using APE tags, MP3v1 tags, MP3v2 tags or Vorbis tags for a specific music file. I've thought about making some kind of categorizing plugin that make it possible to catagorize your music from SqueezeCenter and store the result in the database. This information could then be exported and used in the tagging software of your choice to actually write the tag to the files. However, this is currently not on my project list, but I thought I mention it in case anyone else like to pursue it.
