This comes around quite often, apparently Itunes stores the artwork in a separate folder somewhere (i don't know newer used itunes).
So you probable need to copy each image to the same folder as the album(this is a defacto standard used by everybody but itunes ) giving it a name such as folder.jpg or and/or embed the pic using some tagging software. There are some advanced settings for artwork and artwork folder that might work.
