I'm not a fan of Naim (although I do still have a Naim preamp used for LP transfers), but have to admit that sometimes they talk sense.
The way I read this paper, they fully acknowledge that it's possible to set up a PC based ripping system that performs well. They just point out that it requires knowledge and care, and that their ripping engine packages it all up so the user doesn't need to worry about it. That strikes me as a very sensible approach, and it's one that Logitech should consider if they ever decide to build a "SqueezeCenter hardware appliance". -- cliveb Transporter -> ATC SCM100A ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47330 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
