For those of you who have found SuperQ's instructions and are trying to get something other than static from coming out of your speakers, the instructions in the Wiki at http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/AAC#AAC_on_Linux: are explicit. His custom-convert.conf is missing a "-x" in the line that uses the lame encoder.
