Hi,
After a recent failure of my nas SC101 I replaced it with a Qnap409 and
installed SC7. Originally I used media player to rip my CDs and
slimserver 6.5 to stream, and wasn't bothered about the artwork, within
slimserver, as media player seemed to deal with it intuitively though
it didn't always manage to find it.Nor was i bothered about formats
like wav or mp3 etc..slimserver streamed almost anything you gave it..
I was just focused on getting my CD collection onto my nas. Well now
I'm forced to start all over and have decided to do a proper, more
structured job, because slimcerver is now running on the qnap and
nolonger has need of the PC, where i would usual view album artwork, the
use of a remote controller able to view album artwork will be a future
purchase. So I have been experimenting and I'm using Mediamonkey gold,
and rate it highly, for ripping to flac and getting artwork.I am
stuggling however to understand exactly how SC7 handles artwork? do i
attach it to the tag? save it to a folder? or put it in a folder with
the music files? so far I've only been successfull with all the music
files in one folder and the arwork in another.Don't like this option
tho have no real foundation for my reasoning as albums and artist seem
to be handled by the tags and looks and plays correcty with all info on
the squeezebox..but my preference is for seperate folders for artists
with subfolders for albums...and this is were I fail to get the artwork
to be seen with the albums in SC7..Has anybody have any ideas of how
this should bee done or what i may be doing wrong..
Cheers
Eamonn
