The only case I can think of where a cue will help is where you have something a little unusual about the disc - for example a hidden track before track 1 or index marks - which wouldn't be preserved without one. Just burning the plain flacs will get you all the music with the correct inter-track gaps, which is what most people care about. Personally I've seen reason to bother with them.
