I do see the point of flac in terms of taging, and initially I fell in
love with the format. But, I think there is a but, I do not think that
if I want a "future proof" music database I see the benefit of wav,
because it will guarantied, or as close as you get, work with all my
current needs (SqueezeCenter for eating/kitchen area and probably
bedroom in the future, Winamp to fill my Ipod for the car, maybe use my
PS3 as a media player in the livingroom) and more importantly unknown
future needs, I’m do not like to be depended on what hardware I play my
music on. Looking at it in a long term perspective.

I know wav takes up a bit more space, but with the price of harddrive
now a days, and in the future, that is virtually nothing I do not see
that as a mayor loose. I could always, enable compression on the
folder, though I don’t see myself doing that…

All I hope to get is that SC reads the info from the filename and path,
that should pretty much do it I think… I just that I can not get SC to
do it…

Btw, I played around with dbpoweramp free version last night a cool
tool, though it looks and feel like the gui designers stayed more on
the pub than in front of there pc when the did the usability stuff. For
a second I thought a Telnet would have been better. The free version
however did a great job ripping, but from the freedb db, I did not get
any images for the cover, will I do that if just buy it? Where I get
access to a number of them databases?

Thanks for you’re replies :-)
