What are you ripping with? I would put them into mp3tag and really examine them for differences. You need to take a look at the extended tags also. If nothing else try converting to flac and see if the problem is there also. It just sank in that you are using wav so maybe the problem is in SC. I would try the conversion to flac as that is the way I think you will end up going for the tagging. No sense in going digital and not taking advantage of using flac instead of wav. It's lossless and you have great tagging to use in various programs.
