cool. the thing is i don't know of any other big app that uses ANY
kind of comp tag. maybe they do, but i am unaware of any.

right on. yes, i hate itunes myself, but i have people who use it. i
want my files to work for them.

it does... but the value is empty. is it just like adding a column?
meaning %itunescompilation% should be in the value box?

or does it want to know 1 or 0?

thats a great idea. i wouldn't want to use more than one Genre tag,
but a custom tag like:

TXXX LIVE

with a 1 for true
OR
nothing / 0 for false

seems like just the thing for me. i'll wait until 8.0 shakes out for
that, b/c it seems erlands stuff is going to need a redesign anyway.
but in the meantime, how do i setup mp3tag to create from scratch a
custom tag in the:

TXXX LIVE

frame? i could get a headstart tagging the files.

also, out of curiosity, if you have multiple GENRE tags, which one
would another app use? i'm guessing other apps only see one of the
GENRE tags.
